C 21764, which is the operator of this website, uses cookies to collect and process personal data in order to keep the website running, improve it, produce statistics, and display embedded third-party content (for example videos).

Below you can find out what cookies are, which categories we use on this website, who has access to the data they produce, how long your consent lasts, and how to withdraw it at any time. For general information on how we process personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on your computer or phone when you visit a website or use some online services. Alongside cookies themselves, similar technologies may also be stored in your browser, such as local storage (localStorage) or IndexedDB databases. For simplicity, this notice refers to all of them together as "cookies".

They are used mainly to make websites and services work at all, or to make them work more efficiently.

Example: Surely a website has at some point asked you to confirm that you are a human and not a computer program trying to attack the site. Usually you have to copy some text from an image or select all the photos of fire hydrants among a series of images. Cookies in this category remember that you are human, so neither you nor the site's servers are burdened with repeated verification.

Which cookie categories do we use?

The categories below match exactly the ones you will find in the "Cookie settings" window on our website. Essential cookies are always on; for the other three categories you decide yourself whether to allow them.

Essential. Technical cookies without which the website could not work, or could not work securely. They cover storing your choice in the cookie bar, the record proving that consent was given or refused, and access to content you unlocked yourself. We do not need your consent for them, because without them we cannot provide the service you are asking for.

Analytics. They help us understand how visitors use the website – how many people visit, which pages they view, where they spend time and where they leave. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for this. In addition to aggregate statistics, Microsoft Clarity also captures anonymised session recordings (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling) and so-called heatmaps, which show us which parts of a page people actually use. These tools only start after you allow this category. Besides traffic, we also measure the fact that you sent a form – a consultation request or a webinar recording unlock. Only the fact that a submission happened, which of the two forms it was, and the language of the website are passed on; the contents of the form, your name and your e-mail never reach the analytics tools. Google Analytics also only starts once you allow both the analytics and the marketing cookies.

Social. These enable social media features and content sharing. We currently use no cookies in this category – links to our profiles and the article sharing buttons are ordinary links that store nothing in your browser by themselves. If that changes, we will add the list here.

Marketing. This category covers embedded third-party content, specifically YouTube videos, and measuring the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns – that is, how many of the visitors who arrived from an ad ended up sending us a form. For that measurement we link Google Analytics to Google Ads. We build no remarketing lists, we do not personalise advertising, and we do not use so-called enhanced conversions, which would send your e-mail address to Google. Until you allow this category the player is not loaded at all – a notice that the content is blocked is displayed instead of the video, and we do not connect to YouTube's servers; conversion measurement does not start either.

Example: The moment you play a recording on a webinar page, the player is loaded directly from YouTube. YouTube thereby learns that you opened the video and stores its own cookies in your browser – which is why we ask first.

Who has access to the data from cookies?

The controller is StringData, s.r.o., identified at the beginning of this notice. The contact address of our offices is Antala Staška 510/38, 140 00 Prague 4.

Besides us, access to the data is held by the providers of the services we use on the website, always only to the extent matching the category you allowed:

• Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland – Google Analytics (Analytics category), Google Ads for measuring advertising effectiveness, and the YouTube player (Marketing category). Google Privacy Policy

• Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland – Microsoft Clarity (Analytics category). Microsoft Privacy Statement

Data from these services may also be made available to their parent companies Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation in the United States of America. The transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and on both companies' certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission issued an adequacy decision. The current certification status can be verified in the Data Privacy Framework list.

We do not sell traffic and behaviour data, and we do not pass it on to anyone else.

How long does consent last and how can I withdraw it?

Cookies that are not essential are stored and read only on the basis of your consent. For essential cookies we do not need consent – the Czech Electronic Communications Act exempts them from the consent requirement because without them we cannot provide the service you are asking for; the subsequent processing relies on our legitimate interest in the proper and secure operation of the website.

Consent, once given, lasts 12 months. After that the cookie bar is shown again so you can confirm or adjust your preferences.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, either partially or completely, via the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

When you withdraw consent, the relevant tools stop loading and any analytics and marketing cookies present in your browser at that moment are deleted straight away. Only essential cookies remain, including the record that you withdrew your consent – we need it so that we do not ask you again and can demonstrate your decision.

We can only delete cookies stored from our own domain. Cookies stored in your browser directly by third parties (for example the YouTube player on the youtube.com domain) are beyond our reach – you can remove those in your browser settings. The procedure differs between browsers:

• Mozilla Firefox

• Safari

• Microsoft Edge

In your browser settings you can also block the storing of cookies entirely in advance. Some parts of the website may then not work correctly.

How do we document your cookie consent?

So that StringData can demonstrate at any time, under Article 7(1) GDPR, that you agreed to (or declined) the use of cookies, we store one immutable record for every decision made in the cookie bar.

What we store: a shortened (anonymized) IP address, browser type, the language of the displayed bar, the cookie bar version, and the consent state (accept all / decline all / saved preferences) for the individual cookie categories. We never store your full IP address.

How long we keep the records: we keep the record of your decision for 3 years from the moment it is created, so that we can demonstrate consent retroactively in the event of an audit or dispute. A granted consent is valid for 12 months – after that the cookie bar is shown to you again so you can confirm or adjust your preferences.

Your consent identifier: with every decision, a cookie named sd-consent-id holding a unique identifier is stored in your browser. If you ask us to erase or access the data associated with your consent, please provide this ID – it helps us locate your request. You can find your ID in the "Cookie settings" window (link in the website footer) on the "Consent ID" row, where a single click copies it.

Webinar recording unlock: when you unlock a webinar recording by filling in the form, a sd-content-access cookie holding a list of the content you unlocked is stored in your browser. It lets the recording play again on your next visit without filling the form in twice. It is a necessary (functional) cookie – we set it only as the direct result of your own action, it is not used for tracking, it is shared with nobody, and it expires after 30 days.

What are your rights?

In relation to data processed via cookies you have the right of access, the right to rectification or erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to object, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Details and the procedure for exercising these rights can be found in our Privacy Policy. If you believe that our processing of your data breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority.
