The article addresses the fact that companies still more often than not focus the most on the internal quality of the supply of IT services measured from the viewpoint of IT. As last year, we attended the annual conference of itSMF Czech Republic, the 6th conference this time, with the subtext “How to involve the business in IT management” that took place in the Diplomat hotel in Prague on 9 November also this year. We supported the conference not only by our attendance, but also as silver sponsors.
We presented the case study concerning the implementation of the SyDesk system in the Siebel CRM system in Česká spořitelna within the conference. The conferees learnt within the partner talk that end users, the business owner and the IT department have mostly incompatible views and requirements. The practical example of using the SyDesk debugging tool to monitor the Siebel CRM application in Česká spořitelna showed how all gained benefits from the cooperation of the IT department and the business. Mrs Pavla Setničková Nováková on the part of Česká spořitelna and Mr Jiří Havelka together with Petr Dlouhý, the Commercial Director of StringData, gave the talk. The talk met with an unusual reception from the conferees and became clearly the partner talk with the top attendance.

As in the last year, our BeeWiser product supported the AEDUCA education festival that took place at the Palacký University in Olomouc on September 12 to 14 this year. Within this year’s festival, all speakers could give their presentations directly from the BeeWiser system and enrich their presentations with interactive elements and expound the whole talk to the other participants in this way. Within the festival, the participants had the opportunity to acquaint themselves in more detail with the system during the talk BeeWiser – A Little Bit Different Education and to learn about all the possibilities offered by the system. In the June issue of Bankovnictví, a monthly trade magazine for professional finances, an article from Petr Dlouhý was published, called IT Department And Pro-Client Approach (part 1, part 2). The article can be found in a special enclosure Tools For IT Management In Bank. The article focuses on the fact that in the past, and in many cases also nowadays, companies – banking and financial institutions not excluded – focus on the internal quality of IT services provision that is primarily evaluated from an IT view of individual departments. However, this approach is not quite ideal in terms of business, marketing and pro-client policy. It deals with a comparison of internal and external views of the company IT department and end user. And it tries to initiate the need of a bigger focus on a satisfied client. At the beginning of this year, the LoanOffice implementation project was commenced in the company Raiffeisenbank. The initial analysis and foundation documentation preparation were carried out within the preparatory phase. Currently, the project is in the executing phase and the phase of a detailed analysis of requirements for LoanOffice customization in the environment of Raiffeisenbank a.s. is in progress. Pilot operation is planned to be launched in the second half of 2011.

The festival was held in the Art Center of the Palacky University in Olomouc and dealt primarily with the issues of current methods and trends in adult education. In order to support the dynamic growth of the company, we decided to change the organizational structure. This should lead, inter alia, to the improvement of the quality and process efficiency. Therefore, we created completely new business sales, which covers all business and marketing activities of the company. The responsible person of the department is Petr Dlouhý, Sales & Marketing Director. Another change is the unification of the implementation teams into the project department, which will be managed by Petr Sommer, Technical Director, and into the product department, which will be managed by Ondřej Kubelka, Product Development Director.

ČSOB – support system for application testing

We have started cooperation with ČSOB in the field of the support of user applications testing. Our cooperation does not stop when the system for support of the smoke testing of the electronic banking is delivered, but we also take care of its maintenance and operation.
